Adam & Emma started the business in a small workshop in July 2007 on Wisbech Road in March, after Adam left his post as a trainer at the VW academy in Nottingham. Adam worked as a “one man band” and Emma carried out the admin and accounts duties on her days off and in the evenings. Within days Adam was inundated and over-run with work. Fortunately his brother Wayne’s work schedule allowed him to come and help with carrying out services and basic repairs whilst Adam dealt with customers and concentrated on complex jobs. Word got around quickly due to the transparency, quality and value for money of what they set out to do and Adam and Wayne were often busy late into the night.
Since then the business has gone from strength to strength. In June 2008 after out growing The Palahi Service Station we moved into a section of our current premises in Norwood Road. Thanks to continued repeat custom and new customers we have been able to take on numerous staff and expand into occupying the entire premises allowing us to increase our workload and our range of services without sacrificing quality and still sticking to our values of quality and service for people.
Due to other commitments and the expansion of the business Adam’s brother, Wayne left to pursue his own business interests in late 2008. Tragically he passed away suddenly in October 2012 aged just 41. He was a regular and popular visitor with staff and customers up until only a few weeks before he died. We are eternally grateful to him and certainly would not have achieved anything like as much success as early as we did if we hadn’t had his constant effort, extensive hard work, humour and unshakeable support. Thanks Wayne.
